Nelly! That’s right, I’d have to say he has some of my favorite songs under his ownership. Hot In Here and Country Grammar are just a couple. No, I do not think he makes great music, and yes I think his new song is quite bad but the point is his music is fun and I’m glad he’s back. I might also add he is mysterious-white- band-aid-type-thing-on-his-cheek-free. While this song is not his best work and really sounds like a poor mix of his earlier hits and the video seems quite like the Hot In Here video I will still buy the song on iTunes and I hope it is a sign of things to come. Oh, I forgot some more criticism. First of all he copys Chris Brown and Wall to Wall talking about his diffaculty of getting on the club floor because of the girls on him. It also appears his signed to a new label (formerly Universal), Island records.
I was talking with my friend on AIM the other day about her step-sister who lives in St. Louis. She said she thought St. Louis was pretty nice so I showed her a picture of East St. Louis in the seventies, lets just say that changed her mind. That may sound mean, but in my defense I did mention that Nelly was from St. Louis and so that moved it up slightly in my book. Me and my friend got to talking about what famous people were from San Francisco. We found very few. There were a good deal from the Bay Area but San Francisco, not so much. Well I’m going to change that. Mark. My. Words.
